Carlos Alcaraz has reached the final of the 2023 Roland Garros after defeating Jannik Sinner in a thrilling semi-final. The young Spaniard fought back from a set down to win 7-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Alcaraz started the match slowly and Sinner took advantage, breaking his serve in the third game. Alcaraz broke back immediately, but Sinner broke him again in the ninth game to take the set 6-4.

Alcaraz raised his level in the second set and broke Sinner in the third game. He held on to his serve for the rest of the set to level the match at one set all.

The third set was all Alcaraz. He broke Sinner in the first game and never looked back. He broke Sinner again in the fifth game and served out the set to love to win the match 7-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Alcaraz will now face Casper Ruud in the final. Ruud defeated Marin Cilic in the other semi-final.

Alcaraz is the youngest player to reach the final of the Roland Garros since Rafael Nadal in 2005. He is also the first Spanish player to reach the final since Nadal in 2014.
